What I've been doing over the weekend

Last weekend was a most memorable few days! My oldest sister Kristin and her new husband Daniel visited us from Lancaster, and stayed for the weekend. It was sooo fun!!! They got here on Friday evening, (or afternoon) and we rented Flight of the Phoenix which we watched that night. Next day, I don't remember what I did, (except the times I played Guild Wars, lol!) and we ate a wonderful dinner. Next day, Sunday, we didn't go to church, (the women must've been very disappointed not to see Kristin and Daniel - this is their first time here to visit us since they got married, you must remember.) and we had the Schumachers over for dinner that night. That was the best night I've had for a long time! Eric, Brad and I holed up almost right away in our bedroom, talked and looked at some things on Bungie.net. Later on, oh wait, I'm forgetting the dinner! Such chicken, it had this sort of spicy sauce to go on it, or some other one, and it was so, well, delicious! I don't know how to describe it...and we had baked beans (the best I've ever had, really!) and I forget what wine....then afterwards my Dad brought out his newly-acquired whisky: Laphroaig! (pronounced la-phroig) I didn't like it at first, but as Eric said, it's a whisky that grows on you. A few sips after he said that, I began to see the light...lol, it was a pretty good whisky, but not as good as most of the others, then again it's only my first time tasting Laphroaig (this whisky, not for beginners, comes from the small island of Isla off the west coast of Scotland).
After that, on Monday, we went to the one and only Jelly Belly factory!! I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted in each stage, but the tour was still very cool and fun. Next came our wanderings through their store, where we tried some experimental jelly beans, like Jalapeno, baked beans, or roasted garlic! We then tried some of their ice cream, (I should've tried something interesting, but I had mint chip) and then left for Napa Valley! We stopped by the Beringer vinyard, and took their awesome (but short) tour! It was so exciting, my very first wine tour! (and I think maybe my first time in Napa - makes me think of movies like the latest Parent Trap or something, lol!) I could spend a year admiring the exquisite beauty of the Beringer grounds alone! It was started in the 1880's I believe, by two brothers from Germany (well the one originally started it), the rest is history! They even have the original house, and the farm house (recently renovated) that was there (from the 1850's) when he bought the property! The house has its original slate roof. The house is absolutely stunning, with some turrets, wonderful huge fireplaces in every room, miles of centercut redwood trimming and paneling, high ceilings, awe-inspiring stained-glass windows...! and all done in the charming, bold, and menacing Victorian style! Ah......

All the wonderful Guild Wars screenshots are below....

Ooh, looky looky! Guild War screenshots! Those are taken by my ranger, who else? Ebon Hawk!
He's level five, and has some ranger skills, and his secondary skills are priest (I.E. healing and smiting). I'm trying to get my Dad to let me get the game, but I already said that. The release date is I think the 28th. This game runs well on many machines, it's great! The pics were from just last weekend, (a memorable weekend!!!) when they had a final beta test thingy, and my friend Eric gave me a guest pass for it, thanks Eric!

News update

So what's up in my life right now? Nothing much, nothing meaning school, and much meaning gaming. Just kidding! Anyway, I have been doing school, and gaming, I play mostly Xbox Live (Halo 2!), Battlefield Desert Combat, and I was playing Guild Wars over the weekend. I'm trying to get my Dad to let me pre-order Guild Wars *sigh*.
